SAS Developer

Requirements

• 8 years of experience is required in developing, testing, maintaining, and troubleshooting scripts using SAS, Python, R, or other similar programming languages.
• 8 years of experience is required in system integration, dashboard development, and automation to improve interoperability workflows.
• 8 years of experience is required working with structured or semi-structured health, public health, or other complex administrative data, along with knowledge of databases and database querying.
• 8 years of experience is required in developing reports that document system requirements, identifying programmatic and business needs, and translating them into technical solutions.
• 8 years of experience is required in testing and validating automated data-integration solutions.
• 8 years of experience is required in documenting code and technical specifications to improve workflows and procedures.
• 8 years of experience is required demonstrating strong analytical and problem-solving skills, communicating technical concepts to technical and nontechnical staff, and collaborating effectively with team members.
• 2 years of experience is preferred with electronic case reporting (eCR/eICR), Electronic Health Records (EHR), Health Information Exchange (HIE), healthcare interoperability standards such as HL7, XML, or FHIR, and SNOMED CT or other clinical terminology standards.
• 2 years of experience is preferred with SQL and relational databases, public health surveillance systems or registries, data linkage and matching, and developing automated data pipelines or ETL processes.
