Job description

Every Special Child is seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Psychologist to join our team in Hayward, CA for the 2026-27 school year. This full-time role offers a unique opportunity to positively impact students' mental health and academic success in a supportive educational environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments to identify student needs and develop individualized educational plans.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers and school staff to foster a supportive learning environment.
  • Provide counseling and intervention services for students facing academic or personal challenges.
  • Consult with parents and guardians regarding student progress and recommend improvement strategies.
  • Monitor intervention effectiveness and adjust approaches as needed.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support students’ academic and emotional growth.
  • Provide training and resources to staff on mental health, student support, and communication strategies.

Required and Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Psychology is required.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, and staff.
  • Experience in educational settings is preferred.
  • Familiarity with current psychological assessments and interventions.
  • Relevant certifications such as Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) are a plus.
  • Proficiency with educational and communication software/tools.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in school or clinical settings preferred.
