Job description

Every Special Child is seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Psychologist to join our team in Hayward, CA for the 2026-27 school year. This full-time role offers a rewarding opportunity to positively impact student mental health and academic success in a supportive educational environment. Key Responsibilities Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments to identify student needs and develop individualized educational plans. Collaborate with teachers and school staff to foster a supportive learning environment. Provide counseling and intervention services to students facing academic or personal challenges. Consult with parents and guardians to discuss student progress and recommend improvement strategies. Monitor and evaluate intervention effectiveness and adjust approaches as needed. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support students’ academic and emotional growth. Provide training and resources to staff on mental health, student support, and communication strategies. Required and Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Psychology required. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, and staff. Experience in educational settings preferred. Familiarity with current psychological assessments and interventions. Relevant certifications (e.g., NCSP) are a plus. Proficiency with educational and communication software/tools.
