SEC Reporting Manager

About the role

Leeds Professional Resources is working with a client in the Clearwater/Largo/St. Pete area that is looking for a SEC Reporting Manager.

Responsibilities

• Manage preparation of SEC filing support, including 10-Q, 10-K and other regulatory reporting, management discussion and analysis, description of business, financial statements, footnotes and supporting schedules.
• Research and evaluate the effect of new accounting and SEC pronouncements, and develop and assist with implementation of new accounting requirements.
• Review existing and potential accounting policies for consistency and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and SEC requirements.
• Manage preparation of the Bank’s year-end audited financial statements and footnotes, quarterly financial package to senior management, and finance presentations for the Board of Directors package.
• Manage various financial close processes.
• Coordinate implementation, maintenance and enhancement of systems and tools used to support SEC filings and internal reporting.
• Recommend process improvements to increase efficiency in processing or analyzing financial information.
• Review SEC filings of entities in the peer group and recommend changes to filings based on those reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 4-8 years of SEC reporting experience, including 10-K and 10-Q.
• Big 4 experience preferred.
• Auditing experience at a publicly held company.
