The role:The Senior Accountant will support key areas of the controllership function, with primary responsibilities across cash, inventory, intangible assets, foreign currency-related accounting, and monthly close activities. This role is ideal for a hands-on, detail-oriented accountant looking to own and improve core operational accounting processes in a fast-paced environment.You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance in day-to-day accounting—while helping drive improvements in data integrity, systems, and controls.
What You Will DoCashReconcile 50+ bank statements to the general ledger on a monthly basisInvestigate and resolve reconciling items, outstanding checks, and unidentified depositsAssist in further automating the recording of cash transactions and prepare cash-related journal entries where automation is not feasibleAssist with audit requests related to cash confirmations and supporting schedules
InventoryReconcile detailed listings of inventory to the general ledger on a monthly basisPrepare inventory-related journal entries to ensure the general ledger agrees to the detailed inventory listingsPrepare inventory roll-forward schedules on a quarterly basisCoordinate annual physical inventory counts at in-scope locations, review the results, and ensure the general ledger is properly reconciled to the counted figures
Intangible AssetsMaintain the intangible asset registerRecord additions, when applicableCalculate and record monthly amortization in accordance with useful life and applicable accounting standards (ASC 350/ASC 805)Reconcile intangible asset subledgers to the general ledger on a monthly basis
Foreign Currency AccountingReconcile exchange rates used in ERP system to third party source on a monthly basis Calculate and prepare journal entries to record the impact of remeasuring intercompany loans denominated in foreign currencies
Monthly Close ActivitiesPrepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules across assigned areasEnsure deadlines are met and close processes are documented and effectiveMaintain accounting documentation and improve process clarity across recurring tasks
Systems, Controls, & ComplianceSupport automation and system enhancements for lease and accounting workflowsHelp maintain SOX-compliant control environment across assigned areasPrepare audit-ready documentation and assist with internal and external audit requests
Collaboration & GrowthSupport continuous improvement across controllership processesParticipate in special projects, including consolidations and system implementations
What You BringBachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA preferred or in progress3–6 years of experience in accounting; technical accounting and/or controllership experience highly valued; Big 4 accounting preferredStrong working knowledge of US GAAPSOX compliance experience requiredFamiliarity with ERP systems (Oracle Fusion ideal)Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management capabilitiesAnalytical mindset with high attention to detail and a willingness to learn new topicsStrong interpersonal skills and ability to navigate fast-paced, cross-functional environments
