Senior Accountant

Tasks

• Prepare Form 1099s and file U.S. sales tax returns.
• Support U.S. month-end and year-end close, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Manage recurring AP/AR activities, bank and credit card reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Review payroll reports from a U.S.-based PEO and prepare related accounting entries.
• Investigate discrepancies and maintain clear, accurate documentation.

Requirements

• Mexico-based accounting professional.
• 4+ years of accounting experience, including experience working with a U.S. CPA firm.
• Hands-on experience with Form 1099 preparation, U.S. sales tax filing, and U.S. year-end close - all required.
• C1 English proficiency, written and spoken.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• ERP/accounting system experience; Accounting Seed or Salesforce is a plus.

Schedule

• Full-time employee on Mexican payroll.
• New York business hours (ET).
• Hybrid (2 days per week min. at the office).
