About the Senior Accountant role
The Senior Accountant will own the accounting cycle and deliver accurate financial reporting for Cima Financial. This role requires a strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and U.S. tax regulations. You will manage complex reconciliations, prepare books for U.S. investors and the IRS, improve accounting processes, and provide financial insights that support investment decisions.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the full accounting cycle and maintain accurate books.
- Prepare and review financial reports in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
- Complete complex account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
- Prepare accounting records and documentation for U.S. investors and IRS requirements.
- Support compliance with applicable U.S. tax regulations.
- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and controls.
- Deliver clear financial insights to support business and investment strategies.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar accounting role.
- Fluent English, written and verbal.
- Typing speed of at least 35 words per minute.
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and U.S. tax regulations.
- High standards of work ethic, professionalism, punctuality, and reliability.
- Ability to work accurately, independently, and collaboratively in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
Work arrangement and compensation
This is a full-time remote position with a Monday-through-Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Compensation is $2,100 USD per month, plus performance incentives.
