Senior AWS DevOps Architect

About the role

Shape enterprise DevOps standards, guide adoption across teams, and tackle the toughest cloud and platform challenges.

Tasks

• Define DevOps principles and goals, and set measurable maturity targets using DORA metrics.
• Architect scalable, secure, and highly available solutions across EC2, VPC, IAM, Route53, ALB/NLB, Auto Scaling, S3, EBS, EFS, RDS, DynamoDB, Lambda, API Gateway, Multi-AZ, serverless, and disaster recovery.
• Docker, ECS, EKS, Kubernetes, Helm, container registries, and modern deployment strategies.
• CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, Datadog, incident response, and strategic root cause analysis.
• Terraform and CloudFormation with reusable modules, state and workspace standards, drift detection, and policy enforcement.
• Standardize GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins pipelines covering build, test, and delivery, plus Flyway for database migrations.
• Enterprise release strategy, CAB leadership, cross-application coordination, rollback and recovery planning, and audit readiness.
• IAM, Secrets Manager, SAST, DAST, SCA, Wiz, vulnerability and exception management, and security guardrails.
• Python (boto3), Shell, Java (AWS SDK), SQL, and Node.js, with the ability to design frameworks and write production code.

Requirements

• 10+ years experience.
• A strategic thinker who solves high-impact, system-level problems and eliminates recurrence through automation and sound architecture.
• A persuasive communicator who influences senior stakeholders, aligns cross-functional teams, and mentors engineers.
