📍 Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada

📅 Contract Duration: 11 Months
💰 Rate: CAD $80–$90/hour (Inc.); T4 equivalent to be discussed
We are seeking an experienced Senior Mainframe Developer with strong hands-on expertise in PL/I, IBM z/OS, IMS DB, and DB2 for a long-term enterprise modernization and application development engagement.
🔑 Mandatory amp; Key Technical Skills
✅ PL/I V4.5+ with recent experience within the last 5 years
✅ IBM z/OS V2.2+
✅ IMS DB V12+ — HALDB, DEDB and PLITDLI API
✅ DB2 for z/OS V11+
✅ File-AID V10.1+ or IBM File Manager V13.1+
✅ 5+ years developing PL/I transactions processing XML input/output
✅ Mainframe-to-mid-tier integration, IMS Connect and web services
✅ 10+ years in programming and analysis
✅ IMS TM, MFS and SCREENIO
✅ Fujitsu NetCOBOL V4+
✅ Endevor, Harvest and mainframe source control
✅ IMS BMPs with checkpoint/restart
✅ IBM Debug Tool, Abend-AID/Fault Analyzer and DFSORT
✅ SFTP scripting and Visual Studio/Debugger
🎯 Additional Experience That Stands Out
Ontario Public Sector experience
Vehicle registration, driver licensing or transportation safety systems
Mainframe batch and online transaction processing
Technical design, unit testing, integration testing, defect resolution and knowledge transfer
