The Senior Business Program Specialist, Sports Strategic Growth Market Program Management Office (SGM PMO) supports the planning and execution of Deloitte’s sports Commercialization initiatives. With a focus on the Olympics, Paralympics, and McLaren Racing (with potential for additional sports properties), this role partners with workstream leads and PMO leadership to help keep programs on track. You will support day-to-day program operations by maintaining project plans and status, coordinating stakeholders, surfacing risks and dependencies, and producing clear, action-oriented updates to help teams meet immovable deadlines. Work You'll DoSGM PMO team members support SGM leadership across three priority pillars:Inform: Liaise between SGM team leaders and the SGM PMO to understand progress on key activities, track risks, and communicate progressOptimize: Provide and create SGM templates, tools, and resources for team leaders to use across teams for maximum efficiencyInfluence: Foster collaborative thinking and knowledge sharing across SGM teams promoting a “One Firm” culture.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupport management of program operations and go-to-market (GTM) initiatives by maintaining project plans, milestone tracking, key performance indicator (KPI) updates, and critical path items across the Olympics, Paralympics, and McLaren Racing portfolios.Prepare and maintain status reporting, dashboards, and leadership-ready summaries by collecting inputs, synthesizing updates, and highlighting decisions needed.Track, document, and escalate risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies (RAID), partnering with owners to capture mitigations and follow-ups.Support execution of client marketing and client experience initiatives that advance pipeline objectives and strengthen Deloitte’s presence across channels.Drive accountability through strong meeting hygiene: agendas, notes, action/decision logs, and structured follow-up with owners and due dates.Support stakeholder coordination by scheduling, prepping materials, and building “at-a-glance” artifacts (roadmaps, heat maps, FAQs) to streamline communication.Contribute to playbooks, templates, and continuous improvement efforts to standardize ways of working and capture lessons learned.Provide logistical and administrative program support (e.g., calendars, distribution lists, document organization, intake tracking) to help teams stay focused on delivery.Technical Environment: Project Management Tools: MS Project, Smartsheet, Asana, Jira (or similar)Collaboration & File Management: SharePoint, Teams, OneDriveBudget Tracking & Analytics: Excel/Google Sheets, Power BI or TableauReporting & Presentations: Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Co-Pilot), executive dashboards, JupiterDeliverables:Project plans, roadmaps, milestone trackers, and integrated timelinesWeekly/biweekly status reports, dashboards, and leadership summariesRAID logs with owners, dates, and mitigation actionsBudget trackers and variance inputs (as applicable), coordinated with budget ownersStakeholder communication trackers and distribution listsMeeting agendas, notes, and decisions/action logsDraft playbooks, templates, and post-initiative lessons learned documentationHow You'll GrowThis role offers broad exposure to Deloitte’s businesses, markets, and growth areas, providing opportunities for development, mentoring, and firm-wide experience. You will:Develop deep knowledge of the sports practice, client relationship development functions, and brand, marketing & communications organizationBe a part of a net new team within Deloitte working in innovative ways on exciting subject matterMake visible impact by supporting a priority for the firm across all businesses.Required Qualifications:3+ years relevant professional experience in project coordination, PMO support, marketing operations, or complex project deliveryWorking proficiency with core Microsoft Office and project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Asana, Jira), Excel/Google Sheets, Co-PilotExperience preparing clear status updates, summaries, or basic dashboards for stakeholdersBachelor’s degree in business, marketing, project management, communications, or related fieldStrong English and Spanish oral and written communication skillsAbility to travel as neededMust be legally authorized to work in Costa Rica without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future Preferred Qualifications:Experience supporting multiple workstreams/projects with fixed deadlines and frequent stakeholder touchpointsStrong organization, prioritization, and written/verbal communication skillsComfort working in matrixed teams; able to follow through with owners and keep work movingExperience creating concise, action-oriented communications (e.g., “what changed / risks / decisions needed”)Familiarity with continuous improvement (templates, checklists, standard reporting)Exposure to large events, launches, or business-critical activationsAdvanced proficiency with SharePoint/Teams/OneDrive organization and governancePMP, Agile, or comparable certification (completed or in progress)
