The Senior Business Program Specialist, Sports SGM (Strategic Growth Markets) Approvals & Rights, SGM PMO supports planning and execution of the commercialization of Deloitte’s sports sponsorships portfolio (e.g., LA28, IOC/IPC, McLaren Racing) by running the approval “engine” for commercialization content/activities sponsorships. This role partners with US Sponsorships (sponsorship property leads, OLY/PLY Rights Management manager, Operations team), BM&C Creative/Marketing teams, Risk & Brand stakeholders, and PMO leadership to manage end-to-end approvals, coordinate risk/compliance reviews, and keep content moving against immovable deadlines. Work You'll DoSports SGM PMO team members support SGM leadership across three priority pillars:Inform: Liaise between sponsorship workstream leaders and the SGM PMO to understand progress, track approval status, surface risks, and communicate what’s needed to unblock work.Optimize: Create and maintain templates, trackers, and standardized intake/approval workflows to drive speed, consistency, and auditability.Influence: Foster collaborative thinking and knowledge sharing across teams, promoting a “One Firm” culture and repeatable ways of working.
Key ResponsibilitiesOwn and maintain the integrated approvals tracker for sports sponsorship commercialization content (e.g., RACIs across risk, account teams, working teams, etc.) across properties, capturing submissions, required reviewers , feedback, rework cycles, approvals, and final disposition.Ensure commercialization content aligns with property guidelines and Deloitte brand requirements (e.g., correct naming, required disclaimers, asset usage rules).Drive commercialization content development workflow enablement by managing intake, routing, deadlines, version control, and “what changed / decision needed” updates for each asset.Coordinate required Risk and compliance reviews for sponsorship-related commercialization materials (e.g., advertising/marketing review, claims substantiation inputs as needed), documenting outcomes and next steps.Support Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) and related vendor/agency process steps by tracking intake, required artifacts, review status, and dependencies (in partnership with process owners) for sports sponsorship commercialization content/work.Track and escalate risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies (RAID) tied to approvals, rights usage, vendors, and launch timelines; document mitigations and owners for sports sponsorship commercialization content/work.Maintain project plans, milestones, key performance indicators (KPIs), and critical path items for sponsorship commercialization work that depends on timely approvals.Produce leadership-ready reporting (dashboards, weekly/biweekly status, decision logs) of sports sponsorship commercialization work, synthesizing inputs into clear, action-oriented summaries, in coordination with reports developed by sports sponsorships.Drive strong meeting hygiene: agendas, notes, action/decision logs, and structured follow-up with owners and due dates.Build “at-a-glance” artifacts (roadmaps, heat maps, approval stage views, stakeholder maps) to streamline communication and speed decisions.Contribute to playbooks, templates, and continuous improvement efforts to standardize the approvals operating model and capture lessons learned.Provide logistical and administrative program support (e.g., calendars, distribution lists, document organization, intake queue management) to keep teams focused on delivery.Technical Environment: Project Management Tools: MS Project, Smartsheet, Asana, Jira (or similar)Collaboration & File Management: SharePoint, Teams, OneDriveBudget Tracking & Analytics: Excel/Google Sheets, Power BI or TableauReporting & Presentations: Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Co-Pilot), executive dashboards, JupiterDeliverables:Centralized approvals and rights usage tracker (status, owners, dates, dependencies, outcomes)Weekly/biweekly status reports, dashboards, and leadership summariesRAID log with owners, dates, and mitigation actionsStandardized intake forms, checklists, and approval workflows (playbooks/templates)Stakeholder communication trackers and distribution listsMeeting agendas, notes, and decision/action logsPost-initiative retrospectives and lessons learned documentationHow You'll GrowThis role offers broad exposure to Deloitte’s sports sponsorship commercialization and brand governance, with opportunities to develop durable skills in program operations, stakeholder management, and risk-aware marketing execution. You will:Build practical expertise in sponsorship rights/approvals operations, risk/compliance coordination, and cross-functional delivery.Operate in a net-new, high-visibility space with direct impact on how the firm activates major sports properties.Strengthen executive communication by translating complex review cycles into crisp decisions and actions.Required Qualifications:3+ years relevant professional experience in PMO support, project coordination, marketing operations, brand operations, risk/compliance coordination, or complex cross-functional deliveryDemonstrated ability to run trackers and workflows across multiple stakeholders and deadlines (e.g., intake → review → feedback → approval)Experience preparing clear status updates, leadership summaries, and/or basic dashboardsWorking proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and collaboration tools; comfort learning new workflow systems quicklyBachelor’s degree in business, marketing, project management, communications, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)Strong English and Spanish oral and written communication skillsAbility to travel as neededMust be legally authorized to work in Costa Rica without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future Preferred Qualifications:Experience supporting rights/approvals workflows (e.g., sponsorship, brand, marketing, IP/claims review, or similar governance processes)Comfort working in matrixed teams; persistent follow-through with owners to drive closureStrong organization and detail orientation (version control, audit-ready documentation, decision capture)Familiarity coordinating risk/compliance reviews and/or vendor/agency onboarding steps (including TPRM touchpoints)Experience creating concise, action-oriented communications (e.g., “what changed / risks / decisions needed”)Advanced SharePoint/Teams/OneDrive information architecture and governance skillsPMP, Agile, or comparable certification (completed or in progress)
