Senior Civil Engineer - Land Development

About the role

WSP in the U.S. is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer - Land Development for its Irvine, CA office. The role supports civil site development and solid waste/landfill engineering projects with the Earth & Environment Team. Some travel is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, scope, and manage small-sized civil and solid waste engineering projects.
• Prepare civil layout, grading, drainage, and earthwork designs for civil sites and landfills.
• Prepare engineering design reports, drawings, technical specifications, and engineer’s estimates.
• Support construction-phase services, including submittal reviews, responses to RFIs, and field coordination.
• Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Train and guide junior staff in technical delivery, quality expectations, and project execution.
• Prepare and implement site Health and Safety Plans.
• Interpret and summarize technical data, reports, and documents to support engineering and regulatory conclusions.
• Collaborate across disciplines to provide trusted-advisor service and future-ready client solutions.
• Make responsible and ethical decisions regarding company funds, resources, and conduct, and follow WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
• Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
