Senior Data Architect (AWS)

Tasks

• Design and implement scalable AWS data architectures and cloud-native data solutions.
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines, data lakes, and data warehouses.
• Lead modernization initiatives and migrate on-premises databases to AWS.
• Translate business requirements into robust data architecture and solution designs.
• Develop and troubleshoot complex data transformations using SQL and Python/Scala.
• Implement data governance, security, metadata management, and compliance frameworks.
• Collaborate with engineering, architecture, and DevOps teams to ensure seamless data integration.

Requirements

• 10+ years of IT experience, including 5+ years in Data Architecture/Data Engineering.
• Hands-on expertise with AWS services: S3, Redshift, Glue, DynamoDB, Aurora/RDS, EMR, Lambda, Kinesis, and MSK/Kafka.
• Strong programming skills in SQL and Python/Scala.
• Experience with ETL/ELT, Data Lakes, Data Warehousing, and Large-Scale Data Pipelines.
• Knowledge of AWS Lake Formation, Glue Data Catalog, IAM, and KMS.
• Experience with Apache Airflow/AWS Step Functions and Terraform/CloudFormation.
• AWS Data Analytics Specialty or AWS Solutions Architect Certification is a plus.
