Hiring: Senior Data Platform Engineer – HBase, EMR & Spark Modernization
Experience: 7+ Years
Location: Remote, India
Shift: 3:00 PM – 12:00 AM IST
Required Skills:
Strong hands-on production experience with HBase, Amazon EMR, Apache Spark, and Hadoop.
Experience with HBase/EMR migration and data platform modernization.
Experience with Scala and/or Spark programming.
Strong knowledge of AWS, Amazon S3, and cloud-based data platforms.
Experience with production data migration, cutover, rollback, and post-migration validation.
Hands-on experience with HBase snapshots, restore, and data migration.
Knowledge of data integrity validation using row/region counts, checksums, and reconciliation.
Strong cluster-level troubleshooting and performance optimization skills.
Understanding of dependencies between HBase, Spark, Hadoop, and application workloads.
Experience with production support and migration-related issue resolution.
Good-to-Have Skills:
HBase 1.x/2.x and Amazon EMR 5.x/7.x.
HBase Snapshot, ExportSnapshot, HFiles, and Coprocessors.
Apache Phoenix, Hive, Presto, and/or Iceberg.
Kerberos authentication in Hadoop/HBase/EMR environments.
AWS KMS and encrypted data platforms.
Enterprise-scale data platform modernization.
