Senior Database Administrator

🗃️ We’re Hiring: Senior Database Administrator (SQL Server, Azure, Dynamics GP & Salesforce)
📍 Toronto, ON (Onsite, 5 days a week, Downtown Toronto)
🕒 Contract: Potential extension of 6 months to 1 year based on performance
🏛️ Client: Ontario Public Sector Agency
We’re looking for a Senior DBA who can manage SQL Server on-premises and in Azure, lead database migrations to the cloud, and support key business systems including Microsoft Dynamics GP and Salesforce. You’ll work closely with the finance team and help keep ticketing, CRM, reporting, and integration systems running smoothly.
What you’ll do:
🔹 Design, administer, and optimize SQL Server databases, including capacity planning, performance tuning, and backup and recovery
🔹 Migrate on-premises databases and workloads to Azure, including VM sizing, disk configuration, replication setup, and network and security settings
🔹 Plan backup, monitoring, and Microsoft Defender baselines for migrated workloads
🔹 Manage day-to-day operation of Microsoft Dynamics GP and support the finance team
🔹 Administer and support Salesforce CRM
🔹 Build reports with SQL Report Builder
🔹 Support application development across eCommerce, public websites, SharePoint, and MS Teams using .NET MVC, MS SQL, and Team Foundation Server
🔹 Administer Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Teams, Power Apps/Power Platform) and SaaS tools such as Shopify and Siriusware
🔹 Integrate third-party APIs with Microsoft web applications and CMS platforms like Umbraco
Must haves:
✅ Senior-level, hands-on SQL Server database administration, on-premises and in Azure
✅ Experience migrating on-premises databases to Azure
✅ Senior-level, hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains (GP) and finance system concepts
✅ Hands-on Salesforce CRM experience
Also looking for:
➕ Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or Dynamics 365 Finance
➕ SQL Report Builder and other reporting tools
➕ .NET MVC, SharePoint, MS Teams, and Power Platform development
