Senior EDI Engineer/Specialist

Tasks

• Administer and support the existing EDI infrastructure to ensure system reliability and availability.
• Administer, monitor, maintain and troubleshoot the Microsoft BizTalk Server environment.
• Manage the onboarding and integration of new customers and trading partners.
• Develop, maintain and support data mappings used for the extraction, transformation and generation of EDI documents.
• Work directly with customers’ technical teams to implement and support EDI integrations.
• Coordinate and execute EDI implementation projects from initial requirements through production deployment.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical EDI solutions.
• Perform testing, certification, troubleshooting and issue resolution for EDI transactions and integrations.
• Document EDI processes, mappings, configurations and implementation procedures.
• Provide ongoing support for EDI operations and production environments.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a similar role as an EDI Engineer, EDI Specialist, or Integration Specialist.
• Experience administering and supporting Microsoft BizTalk Server environments.
• Experience with EDI translation, transformation and data extraction software.
• Experience managing and executing EDI implementation and integration projects.
• Experience supporting production EDI environments and resolving integration issues.
• Microsoft BizTalk Server administration and support.
• Knowledge of EDI standards (ANSI X12, EDIFACT, XML, Flat Files).
• Experience with EDI communication protocols (AS2, FTP/SFTP, HTTPS, VAN).
• Experience with data extraction, transformation and EDI translation tools.
• Experience integrating ERP systems with EDI platforms.
• Knowledge of B2B integration processes and Trading Partner management.
• Knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
• Ability to analyze ERP database structures and develop SQL queries and data extraction logic for EDI integrations.
• Experience mapping ERP data to EDI transaction sets and troubleshooting data discrepancies.
• Experience working with the following EDI transactions: 850 | 855 | 856 | 846 | 810 | 867 | 997
• Experience troubleshooting EDI transaction, mapping and communication issues.
• Conversational and written English.
• Ability to participate in technical meetings and communications with customers and external partners.
