Job description
RecruitPod Canada is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator for a full-time, on-site role in Toronto, Ontario. Join a leading Ontario-based development and construction organization and help shape residential projects through accurate cost planning, commercial insight, and estimating leadership.
This senior-level position covers low-rise, mid-rise, and high-rise residential developments. You will collaborate with leadership, construction teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to support sound project decisions and successful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead estimating across low-rise, mid-rise, and high-rise residential construction projects.
- Prepare early-stage cost analyses for design development and acquisitions.
- Work with senior leadership and construction teams to align project objectives and resource allocation.
- Improve estimating standards, systems, and best practices to strengthen efficiency and accuracy.
- Identify scope gaps and manage project risks while supporting budget and schedule compliance.
- Review construction drawings and develop detailed, reliable cost estimates.
- Maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and terms.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 15 years of estimating experience across residential construction projects.
- Strong expertise in conceptual, schematic, and detailed cost estimating.
- Demonstrated commercial judgment and decision-making ability.
- Experience with risk management and identifying scope gaps.
- Established relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
Compensation and Work Arrangement
- Salary: $100,000 per year.
- Schedule: Full-time.
- Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada; this role is not remote eligible.
