Job description
RecruitPod Canada is hiring a highly experienced Senior Estimator to join a leading Ontario-based development and construction organization in Toronto, Ontario. This senior-level role is ideal for a construction industry professional with strong technical expertise, commercial insight, and leadership experience in residential construction projects. Key Responsibilities Lead estimating efforts for low-rise, mid-rise, and high-rise residential developments. Provide early-stage cost analysis for design development and acquisitions to support decision-making. Collaborate with senior leadership and construction teams to align project objectives and resources. Enhance estimating standards, systems, and best practices to improve accuracy and efficiency. Identify scope gaps and manage risks throughout project lifecycles, ensuring budget and timeline compliance. Analyze construction drawings to deliver detailed and precise cost estimates, building stakeholder trust. Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing and terms. Required and Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field. 15+ years of estimating experience in various residential construction projects. Expertise in conceptual, schematic, and detailed cost estimating. Proven commercial judgment and decision-making skills. Strong risk management capabilities and ability to identify scope gaps.
