Senior Full Stack Software Developer

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience in healthcare interoperability, event-driven architecture, and FHIR-based integrations.
• Advanced experience with FHIR Subscription and SubscriptionTopic implementation
• Resource triggers, filtering, lifecycle/status management, notification Bundles, heartbeat notifications, and event retrieval
• FHIR validation, conformance testing, and event-driven clinical workflows
• Strong Java and Node.js development experience
• AWS Lambda and asynchronous queue-based processing
• REST APIs and FHIR integrations
• Idempotency, retries, dead-letter handling, duplicate-event detection, replay, monitoring, and troubleshooting
• React application development
• SMART on FHIR launch and authorization flows
• OAuth/authorization scopes, clinical context handling, and FHIR API integration
• Accessible UI development and automated testing
• NextGen Connect (Mirth)
• HL7 v2 message transformation, validation, routing, acknowledgements, and error handling
• Experience integrating with Ontario digital health services and standards, including HRM, Provider Registry, Client Registry, and eReferral
• Public-sector experience is mandatory
• Production support, integration testing, monitoring, and technical documentation
• Secure handling of clinical information and privacy-aware logging
• Candidates must be located in Canada, preferably Toronto/GTA, Ontario, and able to meet the assignment's onsite requirements.

Schedule

• Contract: 6 Months
• Hybrid, with onsite attendance as required

Pay

• CAD $80–$90/hour Inc. (T4 equivalent discussed separately)
