Senior IT Business Analyst

About the role

Support strategic Encryption and Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) initiatives within SMBC’s Enterprise Information Protection (EIP) organization.

Requirements

• 10+ years of overall IT experience preferred, with at least 7 years of Business Analyst experience supporting technology or cybersecurity initiatives.
• Strong experience in requirements gathering, business process analysis, technical documentation, and stakeholder management.
• Prior experience supporting enterprise-scale technology projects within the financial services or banking industry.
• Experience in cybersecurity, data protection, encryption, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), or cryptographic key management.
• Exposure to CRI and NIST cybersecurity standards, including Post-Quantum Cryptography initiatives.
• Understanding of cryptographic controls, certificate management, encryption protocols, and crypto-agility concepts.
• Experience supporting cryptographic inventory, certificate discovery, encryption modernization, or cybersecurity assessment initiatives.
• Knowledge of TLS/SSL certificates, PKI infrastructure, Hardware Security Modules (HSMs), Key Management Systems (KMS), and secrets management platforms.
• Understanding of database encryption, file and disk encryption, tokenization, and data masking solutions.
