JOB OVERVIEWWe are seeking a Senior Java Engineer (AIAugmented Engineering) to design and build scalable, production-grade backend platforms using Java and Spring Boot.This role combines deep backend engineering expertise with AI solution development, including working with LLMs and modern AI frameworks (RAG, LangChain, agent orchestration, MCP) to build intelligent, production-ready systems.This is a hands-on role focused on real-world distributed systems and APIs, where AI is embedded into the engineering workflow and application architecture—not limited to experimentation.
YOUR IMPACTDesign scalable backend services and distributed systems using Java and Spring Boot.Build production-grade REST APIs and microservices integrating AI-powered capabilities.Develop AI-enabled backend solutions leveraging LLMs, RAG pipelines, and agent-based architectures.Leverage AI coding agents (GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor) to accelerate development and improve code quality.Collaborate with product managers, architects, and cross-functional teams to deliver production-ready systems.Apply modern engineering practices including CI/CD, automated testing, observability, and cloud deployment.Debug complex backend and AI-related issues using traditional and AI-assisted diagnostics.Contribute to best practices in AI-augmented development, including prompt design and safe AI integration.
QUALIFICATIONSYour Skills and Experience (Must Have)5+ years of experience building backend or distributed systems.Strong expertise in Java, Spring, and Spring Boot.Proven experience with REST APIs and microservices architectures.Hands-on experience in AI solution development, including:Working with LLMs in real applicationsExposure to RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation)Familiarity with frameworks like LangChain or similarUnderstanding of agent orchestration / multi-agent workflows / MCP or equivalent patternsExperience using AI coding tools (Copilot, Claude, Cursor) in daily development workflows.Ability to use AI tools to generate, refactor, test, and debug code.Solid understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and DevOps fundamentals.Strong debugging and software craftsmanship mindset.Experience working in agile product teams delivering production systems.
