Senior Java API Engineer

About the role

Design and build high-throughput REST APIs and Spring Boot microservices for an enterprise Demand Management platform.

Tasks

• Design versioned REST APIs with OpenAPI/Swagger
• Build resilient Spring Boot microservices (circuit breakers, retries, rate limiting)
• Secure APIs with OAuth 2.0/OIDC and JWT
• Develop Kafka event-driven messaging and data pipelines
• Automate Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD deployments

Requirements

• USC, GC, GC-EAD, OPT-EAD only
• 7+ yrs overall software engineering experience
• 7+ yrs Java backend (Spring Boot, MVC, Data)
• Production RESTful API and microservices experience
• Apache Kafka or similar event streaming
• SQL and schema design
• Git, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD
• Bonus: Spark, Airflow, Redis, Datadog, Apptio exposure
