Senior Java Backend Engineer

About the role

Build, enhance, and support scalable enterprise healthcare solutions.

Tasks

• Design, develop, enhance, and support healthcare payer enrollment and billing applications.
• Build scalable Java/Spring Boot microservices, backend services, APIs, and enterprise integrations.
• Develop and optimize database components, event-driven integrations, and batch-processing solutions.
• Translate business requirements into reliable technical solutions throughout the development lifecycle.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement sustainable fixes.
• Ensure code quality through testing, code reviews, security standards, and CI/CD practices.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, architecture, QA, DevOps, and onshore/offshore teams.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and provide technical guidance to team members.

Requirements

• 8–10 Years
• Prior hands-on development experience with Healthcare Payer Enrollment and Billing applications/processes is required.
• Java 8/11+, J2EE, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot
• Microservices architecture and RESTful APIs
• Healthcare Payer Enrollment and Billing domain
• Spring Data JPA, Hibernate, and SQL
• DB2 and/or PostgreSQL
• Apache Kafka or enterprise messaging technologies
• Git, Jenkins/Azure DevOps, Maven/Gradle
• JUnit, Mockito, and automated testing
• Spring Security, OAuth2, and JWT
• Docker | Kubernetes | OpenShift | Cloud Platforms | REST/SOAP | API Security | Observability | Production Support
• 8+ years of hands-on Java/J2EE develop
