Senior Java Software Engineer

At Intraway, we build Symphonica, a cloud-native, AI-powered platform that helps telecom companies orchestrate and automate complex services at scale.We're looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to design, build, and operate Symphonica's backend microservices (Java, Spring Boot, event-driven architectures). You'll own your work from design to production — and this is an AI-native role: AI-assisted development is part of the regular workflow, while you stay fully accountable for quality, security, and maintainability.What You'll DoDesign, build, test, deploy, and operate scalable microservices with Java, Spring Boot, and event-driven architectures.Own changes end to end: analysis, design, implementation, production, and operation.Use AI coding assistants and agents to accelerate development — critically reviewing and validating every output.Build and maintain automated tests (unit, integration, contract, smoke).Troubleshoot production issues and improve performance, reliability, and observability.Refactor and modernize components while managing compatibility and operational risk.Collaborate with Product, QA, Architecture, SRE, and frontend teams; contribute to code reviews and engineering standards.What You'll Bring5+ years building backend applications with Spring Boot and microservices.Experience designing and operating distributed systems and REST APIs.Event-driven architectures and streaming platforms (e.g., Apache Kafka).Relational databases, SQL, JPA/Hibernate, and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB).Linux, Git, Maven/Gradle, and basic scripting (Bash, Python, or similar).Strong automated testing, troubleshooting, and reliability practices.Hands-on use of AI coding assistants or agents in professional workflows, with the judgment to review and validate AI-generated output.Intermediate or higher English.Nice to HaveJava 21+ and Spring Boot 3+.Docker, Kubernetes, Helm; AWS.CI/CD (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Bitbucket Pipelines).Observability (OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, Loki).Highly available, multi-tenant, or SaaS platforms; secure development practices.Telecom platforms, service orchestration, provisioning, or TM Forum APIs.Experience building AI features into production products: LLM integrations, agentic workflows, RAG, evals/guardrails, or monitoring AI behavior and cost.
