Convextech is hiring on behalf of a confidential client for a Senior Python Engineer in Austin, Texas. This full-time role is hybrid within Texas.

About the role

Join an FSD Product Development team building scalable, reliable, cloud-native applications and APIs with Python and AWS. You will contribute to services designed for performance, resilience, and production readiness.

What you’ll do

• Develop and support cloud-native applications, REST APIs, and microservices.
• Build and deploy containerized services and distributed systems.
• Contribute to automated testing, monitoring, logging, and production support.
• Collaborate with Agile/Scrum teams and colleagues across global locations.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of overall experience.
• 8+ years of software engineering experience with strong Python expertise.
• 5+ years of hands-on AWS experience.
• Strong experience with REST APIs and microservices.
• Experience with Python frameworks and tools such as Flask, Django, and AsyncIO.
• Hands-on knowledge of AWS Lambda, ECS/Fargate, EKS, S3, RDS, Aurora, and Step Functions.
• Experience with Docker and containerized deployments.
• CI/CD experience with Jenkins, Harness, CodePipeline, or CodeDeploy.
• Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or SQS messaging.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, concurrency, scalability, and performance.
• Strong communication, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

• Work arrangement: Hybrid within Texas; not remote-eligible
