Compensation: $60,000–$70,000 + Bonus + Benefits

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior QC Inspector to support quality operations within a metal fabrication environment.

This role is responsible for inspecting welded assemblies and structural components, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications, welding codes, and quality standards.

The ideal candidate has strong fabrication and welding inspection experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with production teams in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities

Perform in-process and final inspections on welded assemblies and structural components Conduct visual, mechanical, nondestructive (NDT), and destructive testing (DT) Operate tensile testing and inspection equipment Review mill certifications, welder qualifications, and inspection documentation Verify dimensions, fit-up, and layouts using precision measuring tools Ensure welds meet applicable structural and welding codes (AWS, ASME, etc.) Identify and document non-conforming materials and support corrective actions Assist production teams with troubleshooting fabrication and quality issues Maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in metal fabrication, welding, or structural inspection AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) strongly preferred ASNT Level II certification in PT, MT, or UT preferred Strong blueprint and engineering drawing interpretation skills Knowledge of MIG/TIG welding processes and coating inspections Experience using calipers, micrometers, weld gauges, and related inspection tools Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with production teams

COMMONLY USED EQUIPMENT

Calipers and micrometers Weld gauges and feeler gauges Hardness testing equipment NDT equipment (Magnetic Particle, Dye Penetrant, etc.) Tensile/pull testing equipment Computer systems for reporting and documentation

Compensation & Benefits
