Job description
Accede LLC is hiring a Senior Tax Accountant in Saddle Brook, New Jersey. This full-time, on-site opportunity is with a growing Bergen County CPA firm. The firm seeks a tax professional with at least five years of CPA-firm tax experience. A CPA license is preferred but not required for candidates with strong complex tax return preparation and review skills.
About the Role
Work directly with clients in industries that require technical tax expertise, including commercial real estate partnerships, construction contractors and developers, manufacturing and distribution companies, and other closely held businesses with multistate operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review complex federal and state income tax returns for partnerships, S corporations, C corporations, and high-net-worth individuals.
- Address multistate filing requirements, nexus considerations, and allocation and apportionment issues.
- Research and resolve client tax questions proactively.
- Manage workflow, meet deadlines, and communicate clearly with clients and partners.
- Supervise staff as needed.
- Support tax planning, projections, and transactional tax work.
Role Scope
This position focuses on privately held businesses and does not involve international tax, public company or SEC work, or a big-firm siloed specialization model.
Qualifications
- At least five years of tax experience at a CPA firm.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare and review complex business and individual tax returns.
- Experience with multistate tax matters and client communication.
- CPA credential preferred, but not required.
