Accede LLC, a growing CPA firm in Bergen County, is seeking a skilled Senior Tax Accountant with a minimum of 5 years CPA-firm tax experience. This full-time position offers a direct client opportunity focused on complex tax return preparation and review.
About the Role
As a Senior Tax Accountant, you will work hands-on with diverse clients requiring deep technical expertise, including:
- Commercial real estate partnerships
- Construction contractors and developers
- Manufacturing and distribution companies
- Closely held businesses operating across multiple states
Note: This role excludes international tax, public company or SEC work, and big-firm siloed specialization. Candidates with these backgrounds may find this position unsuitable.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review complex federal and state income tax returns for partnerships, S corporations, C corporations, and high-net-worth individuals
- Manage multi-state filing requirements, nexus considerations, and allocation/apportionment issues
- Proactively research and resolve client tax questions
- Manage workflow, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively with clients and partners
- Supervise staff as needed
- Support tax planning, projections, and transactional tax matters
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of CPA-firm tax experience
- CPA designation preferred but not required
- Strong technical skills in complex tax return preparation and review
- Experience with multi-state tax issues
