Role Description The Service Technician role is a full-time, on-site position based in Magnolia, TX. This role involves performing scheduled maintenance, repairs, and installations on commercial doors, dock equipment, and related systems at customer locations. Day-to-day responsibilities include diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, completing work orders, documenting service activities, and ensuring equipment is safe and fully operational. The Service Technician will interact with customers on-site, explain findings and recommended solutions, and maintain a clean and organized work area and service vehicle. The role also requires following safety procedures, using hand and power tools, and collaborating with the service team and office staff to meet service commitments and deadlines.
Qualifications
Strong Maintenance & Repair and Maintenance skills for mechanical and electrical equipment.Proficiency in Troubleshooting issues with doors, dock systems, and related components.Experience in Field Service, including on-site work at customer facilities.Effective Customer Service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.Ability to read and interpret technical documents, diagrams, and work orders.Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and basic diagnostic equipment.Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites.High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in a related field is a plus.Previous experience in industrial doors, loading dock equipment, or similar service work preferred.Commitment to safety, punctuality, and working both independently and as part of a team.
