Job description
About the role
Joblane International Manpower Services is seeking a sheetmetal worker for industrial pipe insulation and aluminum cladding. The role involves fabricating and installing metal cladding and insulation on pipework, vessels, tanks and ducting, mainly using aluminum, stainless steel and galvanised sheet.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate and install cladding on pipework, vessels, tanks, ducting and associated equipment.
- Mark out, develop and hand-form segmented bends, square-to-round transitions, cones and tees.
- Cut, fit and install aluminum, stainless and galvanised sheet to required standards.
- Install thermal and acoustic insulation on pipework, vessels, tanks, ducting and auxiliary equipment.
- Measure, cut and fix masking.
- Use hand tools and basic machinery, including guillotines, rollers, folders and nibblers, safely.
- Follow health and safety requirements and company procedures at customer sites.
- Keep the work area tidy and look after tools, equipment and vehicles.
Requirements
- Experience in industrial insulation and cladding, sheetmetal or a related trade.
- Ability to develop and form components from drawings and plans, measure accurately and work from drawings.
- Confidence using common hand tools and basic sheetmetal equipment.
- Comfort working at height and in industrial site environments.
- Full Philippines driver’s license and working towards a full NZ drivers license.
- Good English. Applicants with an IELTS overall band score of 4.0 or a PTE score of 29 will have an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail, pride in workmanship, reliability, punctuality, teamwork, good communication, a positive attitude and commitment to safe work practices.
