Job description

Job Title: Shipping/Receiving ManagerLocation: Fort Worth, TXSalary: $65,000–$75,000 + bonus
Day to dayWe are currently recruiting for an experienced Shipping/Receiving Manager to join a busy manufacturing facility in Fort Worth, TX.This is a key leadership role overseeing the day-to-day operations of the shipping and receiving department. You’ll lead a team, manage inventory, drive productivity and ensure safety, quality and on-time delivery targets are consistently achieved.
The RoleLead, manage and develop the Shipping & Receiving team, including hiring, training and scheduling.Manage inventory and work closely with inventory management to maintain appropriate stock levels.Ensure quality standards and on-time delivery requirements are met.Monitor team productivity and provide performance feedback, mentoring and disciplinary action where necessary.Ensure compliance with all safety and quality policies and procedures.Optimise personnel and resources to achieve operational goals.Act as a key communication link between employees and senior management.Motivate employees, resolve operational issues and make sound decisions.Use ERP systems to manage outbound loads and ensure shipments are processed on time.Ensure products are correctly packed and shipped efficiently.Complete other duties as required.
Requirements5+ years of experience in a manufacturing shipping environment.3+ years of management experience preferred.Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex issues.Good computer literacy and knowledge of Microsoft Office.Knowledge of safety and quality policies and procedures.Strong leadership and team-motivation skills.Ability to safely operate forklifts and cranes.Excellent communication, organisational and decision-making skills.
