OverviewIf you have ever wanted to build a data platform from the ground up instead of just maintaining someone else's, this is that seat.This role sits with a globally established luxury travel and hospitality company with operations spanning the US, Europe, and other international markets. The organization is expanding its technical footprint into Buenos Aires and is building out a dedicated data function locally, starting with this hire. You would be joining as one of the first on the ground technical leaders in the region, working closely with global stakeholders while helping shape how the local team grows. 3.) Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, configure, and maintain Snowflake environments across development, staging, and production, including virtual warehouses, auto-scaling, and cost controlsAdminister platform security including RBAC, SSO/SAML integrations, network policies, data masking, and governance standardsMonitor platform health, lead incident response, and manage version upgrades and patch cyclesDesign efficient SQL, stored procedures, tasks, streams, and dynamic tables, and architect data models including star/snowflake schemas and data vaultBuild and optimize ELT/ETL pipelines using Snowpark or partner tools such as dbt, Fivetran, Matillion, or ADF, and implement Snowflake features like zero-copy cloning, time travel, and data sharingConduct performance tuning through query profiling, clustering keys, materialized views, and cost attribution analysisPartner with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to support the enterprise data roadmap, and mentor junior data architects and engineersTranslate business needs into technical solutions, maintain project documentation, and report on key metrics to leadership

Must-Have RequirementsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related fieldHands-on experience designing, administering, and optimizing Snowflake environments in a live production settingStrong SQL skills and experience with data modeling (star/snowflake schema, data vault)Experience building ELT/ETL pipelines using Snowpark, dbt, Fivetran, Matillion, or ADFExperience across RDBMS and NoSQL databases, data warehousing, data quality, and data cataloging practicesExperience implementing data security, access control, and governance policiesStrong communication skills and comfort working directly with both technical and business stakeholdersWillingness and ability to work fully on-site in Buenos Aires
5.) Nice-to-Have RequirementsSnowPro Core CertificationExperience mentoring junior data engineers or architectsExperience with Streamlit in Snowflake or Snowflake Native AppsFamiliarity with enterprise data architecture roadmaps or governance frameworks
