Job description
vysystems is seeking a skilled Snowflake Developer for a contract position in New York City, New York. In this on-site role, you will build and optimize data solutions that support the company’s data management strategy. You’ll join a collaborative team focused on innovation, efficiency, and delivering reliable data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Snowflake database applications and ETL pipelines.
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries for efficient data retrieval and processing.
- Implement and manage data integration processes using SSIS or similar ETL tools.
- Work with data analysts and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Tune and optimize Snowflake architectures and data workflows.
- Document development processes, data models, and workflows.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to support quality and development best practices.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Snowflake, SQL, ETL processes, and SSIS.
- At least 3 years of experience in data development or data engineering.
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and cloud environments.
- Certifications related to data management or Snowflake are preferred.
Team and Reporting
This role reports to the Data Engineering Manager and collaborates with data analysts, business intelligence professionals, and IT support to advance data initiatives.
