Role Description The Social Media Marketing Intern will support Maverick MKG’s event and marketing initiatives by assisting with social media content creation, scheduling, and community engagement across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok. This part-time hybrid role is based in Philadelphia, PA, with some flexibility for work from home, and includes collaborating with the team to develop campaign concepts that align with event goals and brand messaging. Day-to-day responsibilities may involve drafting posts, capturing photos or short-form video at events, monitoring analytics, and suggesting optimizations to improve reach and engagement. The intern will also help with basic digital marketing tasks such as updating content calendars, supporting email campaigns, and coordinating assets with design and event teams. This role offers hands-on experience in event-focused social media marketing and exposure to integrated marketing strategies.
Qualifications
Ability to perform Social Media Marketing and Social Media Content Creation tasks, including planning, posting, and engaging with audiences across major platforms.Foundational skills in Digital Marketing and Marketing, with an understanding of campaigns, branding, and audience targeting.Strong Communication skills, including clear writing, professional messaging, and effective collaboration with internal teams and clients.Interest in events, experiential marketing, and storytelling through visual and written content.Basic familiarity with social media analytics tools and willingness to learn performance tracking and reporting.Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency with common productivity tools (e.g., Google Workspace or Microsoft Office); exposure to design tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Cloud is a plus.Current student or recent graduate in Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related field preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
