Software Backend Engineer at Fierceli Inc
Fierceli Inc is hiring a full-time Software Backend Engineer for a remote-eligible role associated with San Francisco, California. Join a collaborative engineering team building software solutions that improve efficiency and user experience. You will report to the Engineering Manager and work with cross-functional partners in an agile environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend systems using Java, Apache Spark, and microservices architecture.
- Design and implement scalable applications with cross-functional teams.
- Use Docker and Kubernetes to containerize and orchestrate services.
- Manage source control and collaboration with Git.
- Review code and uphold quality standards and engineering best practices.
- Troubleshoot software defects and performance issues.
- Contribute to project planning and estimates to support timely delivery.
Qualifications
- Experience working with large-scale data platforms.
- Strong expertise in Java and Apache Spark.
- Knowledge of Go (Golang) is highly desirable.
- Understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and CI/CD workflows.
- Familiarity with data formats and platforms such as Parquet, Avro, Hive, and Iceberg.
