Software Developer - Full Stack - Senior

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience as a designer and developer for large-scale, multi-client web applications.
• Extensive hands-on Java development experience with Oracle, SQL, or comparable relational databases.
• Significant experience with REST APIs, RESTful web services, microservice architecture, and internet-ready applications.
• Experience with security gateways and protocols (JSON Web Tokens, OAuth 2.0, SSL certificates, secure communications, and identity integration).
• Translating technical system specifications into working, tested applications.
• Applying microservice architecture principles for extensibility and maintainability.
• Using Azure DevOps (or comparable tools) for work management, source control, build, testing, and deployment.
• Eliciting and documenting information from business stakeholders, subject-matter experts, and architects.
• Technical: Java, Oracle/SQL, REST APIs, Microservices, JSON Web Tokens, OAuth 2.0, Azure DevOps, and Agile methodologies.
• Architecture: Object-oriented design, design patterns, refactoring, and clean code principles.
• Soft Skills: Strong written/verbal communication, analytical thinking, systematic problem-solving, and cross-functional team collaboration.
• Public Sector: Knowledge of Ontario Public Service development standards, governance, security, and accessibility.
