Fierceli Inc is seeking a Backend Software Engineer to build reliable, scalable backend services and data platforms. In this role, you will work with software developers, system architects, and project managers on technology-focused projects that support strong application performance and user experiences.
What You’ll Do
- Design, develop, test, and deploy backend services and APIs using Java.
- Build scalable microservices to improve system performance.
- Develop and support large-scale data platforms using Spark and Java.
- Use Docker for containerization and support deployments with Kubernetes.
- Participate in code reviews and uphold team coding standards.
- Troubleshoot software issues and deliver effective resolutions.
- Use Git and CI/CD workflows to support collaborative development and delivery.
- Work with data formats and technologies including Parquet, Avro, Hive, and Iceberg.
- Keep up with industry trends and apply relevant development best practices.
What You’ll Bring
- Strong experience with Java and Apache Spark.
- Experience working with large-scale data platforms.
- Knowledge of Golang is highly desirable.
- Understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and CI/CD workflows.
- Familiarity with Parquet, Avro, Hive, or Iceberg.
- Strong troubleshooting, collaboration, and code review skills.
