Software Engineer – Full Stack | New York City, NY

Rubie is hiring a full-time Software Engineer in New York City, New York. In this role, you will build and deliver product features across frontend, backend, and infrastructure, contributing to reliable software and large-scale data movement. This is an onsite position and is not remote eligible.

Key Responsibilities

• Own product features end to end, including frontend, backend, infrastructure, performance, and security.
• Work directly with customers to understand product needs and translate feedback into roadmap priorities.
• Build on Rubie's new architecture for reliable, large-scale data movement.
• Use AI tools and agents extensively while taking responsibility for the quality and reliability of everything you ship.
• Collaborate with teammates to develop and maintain high-quality applications.

Must-Have Requirements

• At least 4–5 years of software engineering experience; candidates with approximately 6–8 years are common, and exceptionally fast-ramping candidates with less experience may be considered.
• Full-stack capability, including the ability to take a product feature from frontend through backend and infrastructure.
• Proficiency with the relevant software engineering stack.
• Ability to work directly with customers, make sound technical decisions, and take ownership of shipped work.
