SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test)Quality Engineering TeamWe are seeking an SDET to join a growing quality engineering team. The ideal candidate is comfortable working within a bottom-up testing strategy where they are building coverage from the data and service layers up through the application layer. This candidate brings a strong, hands-on background in automated QA.About the Role:This SDET will work as part of a collaborative quality engineering team responsible for building and maintaining automated test coverage across the application, service, and data layers. The team follows a bottom-up testing strategy, meaning strong foundational coverage at the data and service layers is expected to support and inform testing further up the stack.This is a remote, contract position.No C2C Key Responsibilities ● Build and maintain automated test coverage across the Application, Service, and Data layers as part of a collaborative quality engineering team● Execute a bottom-up testing strategy — establishing strong foundational coverage at the Data and Service layers to inform and support Application layer testing● Develop and maintain automation using Playwright with TypeScript alongside a Core Java test automation framework● Conduct functional testing with a specific focus on Application layer and Service layer testing● Support Data layer testing and validation, including work with Postgres, where applicable Required Qualifications● 3+ years of applied, hands-on SDET experience● Playwright + TypeScript● Core Java proficiency (test automation framework)● Functional testing experience, with specific focus on Application layer and Service layer testing● QA certification preferred (e.g., ISTQB or equivalent)● Data layer testing experience preferred but not requiredNice to Have ● Data layer testing experience (Postgres experience preferred)● YAML● AWS tooling: S3, Parquet files, Glue, and similar services● Github● Github Copilot● Azure DevOps Test Plans● Azure DevOps Pipelines
