Software Quality Assurance Engineer at CazVid
CazVid is hiring a full-time Software Quality Assurance Engineer for a 100% remote role open to candidates in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico. Help protect product reliability and improve release quality and user satisfaction across web and mobile applications. This LATAM-friendly position offers flexible scheduling and collaboration with a distributed, cross-functional team.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute end-to-end test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web and mobile applications.
- Use industry-standard test management platforms to improve test coverage, efficiency, and repeatability.
- Identify, document, and track defects throughout the software development lifecycle, supporting timely resolution.
- Partner with Engineering, Product, and UX to clarify requirements and build quality into work from sprint planning through release.
- Perform regression, performance, and user acceptance testing to validate functionality and mitigate risk.
- Review requirements and specifications to identify gaps, ambiguities, and inconsistencies early.
- Document test results and user feedback clearly to support continuous improvement.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Hands-on quality assurance experience.
- Knowledge of defect-tracking best practices and root-cause analysis.
- Strong debugging skills and a systematic approach to problem-solving.
- Familiarity with test documentation standards and reporting practices.
- Upper-intermediate English proficiency (B2) or higher, spoken and written, for collaboration with a distributed team.
- ISTQB or a comparable QA certification is a plus.
