Solder Assembler Contract Job in Clearwater, FL

Sun technologies is seeking a skilled Solder Assembler to join our Clearwater, Florida team. This contract role is ideal for professionals experienced in electronic component assembly and inspection, committed to quality and precision.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform soldering on circuit boards using various techniques, following IPC standards.
• Use Surface Mount Technology (SMT) for accurate component placement and assembly.
• Conduct detailed visual inspections to detect defects or inconsistencies.
• Utilize X-ray inspection to evaluate solder joints and internal connections.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to ensure compliance and product integrity.
• Document assembly and inspection processes as part of quality control.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation.

Required and Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Proven soldering experience, especially with SMT and IPC standards.
• Familiarity with visual and X-ray inspection methods.
• Strong attention to detail and dedication to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Preferred certifications include IPC-A-610 and IPC J-STD-001.
• Experience with assembly line software and tools is a plus.
