Job description
Sun technologies is hiring a Solder Assembler for a contract position in Clearwater, Florida. In this hands-on electronics manufacturing role, you will assemble and inspect electronic components, helping deliver high-quality products through precision craftsmanship, attention to detail, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Solder circuit boards using applicable techniques and follow IPC standards.
- Use Surface Mount Technology (SMT) for component placement and assembly.
- Visually inspect completed assemblies for defects and inconsistencies.
- Perform X-ray inspections to assess solder joints and internal connections.
- Work with engineering and quality assurance teams to meet product specifications and quality requirements.
- Document assembly processes and inspection results.
- Keep your workstation clean and organized and follow safety procedures.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Demonstrated soldering experience, especially with SMT and IPC standards.
- Familiarity with visual and X-ray inspection techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- IPC-A-610 or IPC J-STD-001 certification is preferred.
- Experience with assembly line equipment or related tools is an advantage.
