Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Spanish to English Interpreter. The Interpreter will provide accurate, confidential interpretation services for Spanish-speaking clients, primarily in medical, legal, and customer support contexts. Day-to-day tasks include listening and interpreting spoken Spanish into clear, natural English, and conveying English responses back into Spanish when needed, while maintaining the meaning, tone, and intent of all communication. The role involves handling calls in a virtual environment, following client-specific guidelines, documenting interpretation sessions when required, and collaborating with team members to uphold quality and service standards. The Interpreter will also participate in periodic training and performance reviews to maintain high proficiency and compliance with relevant regulations.
Qualifications
Strong interpreting skills across Spanish and English, including experience with Interpreting and Language Services.Proficiency in Medical Interpretation, with the ability to handle sensitive health-related conversations accurately.Experience in Simultaneous Interpretation and Translation, maintaining meaning, register, and cultural nuances.Excellent command of spoken and written Spanish and English, with clear pronunciation and professional phone etiquette.Prior experience in remote or call center-based interpreting roles is highly beneficial.Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain confidentiality and ethical standards.Familiarity with basic legal and medical terminology in both languages is an advantage.Stable internet connection, suitable hardware, and a quiet workspace to support high-quality remote interpreting.Relevant certification in interpretation or translation, or equivalent professional experience, preferred.
