About the role

As a Special Education Teacher at The GIFT School of Brunswick County, you will provide individualized and small-group instruction tailored to meet each student's unique needs. You will adapt the curriculum and implement accommodations and individualized learning strategies to support students' academic, social, emotional, behavioral, and functional development.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized and small-group instruction.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of teaching experience required.
• Special education teaching experience required.
• Experience working with students with diverse learning needs.
• Strong understanding of differentiated and individualized instruction.
• Patient, compassionate, dependable, and enthusiastic.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Comfortable adapting to changing student and classroom needs.
• Ability to work with students across different ages and ability levels.
• Teaching license or certification preferred.
