SQL Server DBA/AWS Support Engineer

About the role

ILOGICSOFT provides database engineering, cloud/data services and specialized IT staffing.

We are inviting expressions of interest for a planned application and database support project.

Tasks

• Monitor SQL Server health, storage and capacity; diagnose slow queries, indexing issues, locking, blocking and database incidents.
• Maintain and validate approved backup, restore and recovery procedures; document restoration evidence and coordinate service recovery.
• Plan database maintenance and coordinate VM/OS, application and PaaS patching within the agreed client, AWS and supplier responsibility model.
• Support AWS monitoring and incident diagnosis using CloudWatch, CloudTrail and relevant service logs; coordinate issues involving Elastic Beanstalk, S3, WAF and networking.
• Maintain least-privilege access, operational runbooks, change/rollback records and capacity reports; participate in the agreed escalation and maintenance coverage.

Requirements

• Demonstrated SQL Server and T-SQL administration, execution-plan analysis, indexing, troubleshooting and capacity planning.
• Practical AWS RDS for SQL Server support, backups, restoration and recovery validation experience.
• Experience with AWS operations, monitoring, access controls and cloud-service dependencies; clear understanding of managed-service responsibilities.
• Ability to coordinate with .NET/Angular developers and GIS owners, maintain auditable changes and communicate during production incidents.
• Helpful experience: Elastic Beanstalk, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, WAF, Route 53, Transit Gateway, S3, approved automation and application/database security remediation.
