Sr. Manager General Ledger

About the role

Circle K is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior General Ledger Manager to help maintain financial accuracy and ensure compliance across the organization. The role works closely with finance and accounting teams to support accurate, timely recording of financial transactions, planning, and process improvement.

The position also involves SOX and financial audits, detailed research and analysis to resolve complex issues, and collaboration with finance, accounting, and operations teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and guide the General Ledger team while monitoring and evaluating performance.
• Analyze business operations and implement process improvements.
• Advise and assist management on complex accounting issues, controls, acquisitions and divestitures, programs, and policy changes.
• Recommend and assist with developing and implementing General Ledger policies and procedures.
• Review and approve General Ledger balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Manage periodic closing processes and reporting requirements.
• Investigate account discrepancies, coordinate resolutions, and post adjustments.
• Manage internal controls and audits to support accurate and complete accounting records, including the General Ledger portion of the year-end financial statement audit.
• Support company goals through personal accountability, customer service, management, and leadership.
