Sr Software Engineer AI Lead

DescriptionThe Software Engineer / AI Lead is responsible for driving the execution and technical evolution of a greenfield multi-tenant SaaS platform. This role acts as a key contributor within an AI-accelerated software development lifecycle, transforming detailed technical specifications into scalable, production-ready solutions through modern engineering practices and AI-assisted development workflows.
Working closely with technical leadership and cross-functional teams, this position focuses on backend microservices, frontend scalability, secure multi-tenant architectures, and intelligent automation. Success in this role means accelerating delivery while maintaining high engineering standards, enforcing quality controls, and ensuring AI-generated code is implemented safely, efficiently, and under strong human oversight.
Responsibilities- Lead the implementation of complex integrations across backend services, frontend interfaces, and data layers.- Support Spec-Driven Development processes by transforming locked technical specifications into actionable development tasks.- Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery while maintaining engineering quality and compliance standards.- Develop optimized backend microservices using TypeScript (Node.js) for API orchestration, secure data processing, and event-driven integrations.- Build scalable and performant frontend components using React while supporting consistency across web and mobile experiences.- Design and implement secure multi-tenant data structures and relational database schemas.- Configure database-level security boundaries and ensure secure access control mechanisms.- Enforce AI execution discipline by ensuring coding agents generate code, tests, and boilerplate only from approved specifications under human supervision.- Collaborate with Technical Leads to implement engineering guardrails, environment isolation, and identity management standards.- Develop and maintain automated testing strategies including contract testing, unit testing, and regression coverage.- Identify and resolve architectural, scalability, and performance issues across the platform.- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives around AI-assisted development workflows and engineering best practices.
Requirements- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.- 5+ years of experience in fullstack software development within Agile environments.- Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js for backend microservices, API engineering, and data processing.- Experience with Node.js runtime frameworks (e.g., NestJS, Express, Fastify).- Advanced experience with React in TypeScript-based ecosystems, including Next.js or similar SSR/meta-frameworks.- Experience with relational databases, query optimization, and data-layer security implementations.- Hands-on experience with cloud ecosystems focused on serverless infrastructure, API management, and CI/CD pipelines.- Experience or strong practical interest in AI-assisted development tools, prompt engineering, and automated code generation workflows.- Strong analytical thinking, debugging, and problem-solving skills.- Advanced English level (C1) with excellent communication and collaboration abilities.- Ability to work autonomously with a strong sense of ownership and delivery accountability.
Nice to Have- Experience with mobile application frameworks or multi-platform frontend development.- Familiarity with event-driven architectures and distributed systems.- Experience building or supporting multi-tenant SaaS platforms.- Knowledge of identity management, environment isolation, and secure cloud-native architectures.- Experience implementing AI-driven engineering workflows and automated development pipelines.- Familiarity with modern testing frameworks and automated quality assurance strategies.
