Stable Hand

The Role:
We are looking for someone to join our small, friendly team! There is one part-time position available, to help with the care of our equines and smooth running of our business.

Job Responsibilities:
Cleaning & Maintenance - Mucking out, adding fresh bedding & keeping stables clean and hygienic.
Feeding & Watering - Making & feeding breakfast and/or dinner on your set days, ensuring clean water is available at all times.
Grooming & Exercise - May be required during quieter times, including hand walking, long reining or free schooling (no riding).
Assisting with appointments - Vet, Farrier, dentist etc

Requirements:
• No specific qualifications required, but would be beneficial.
• Experience with horses & basic horse care knowledge.
• Physically fit and able to lift, clean and exercise horses when needed.
• Attention to detail, able to notice changes in behaviour and health.
• Genuine interest & passion for horses and looking after them to a high standard.
• Good communication skills.
• Working both as a team and independently as required.
• Reliability, punctuality and practically local in case of emergencies.
