Job OverviewA law firm seeks a State and Local Tax Associate in Dallas, TX. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex tax matters across various industries and jurisdictions, collaborating with a cross-office team to provide strategic client solutions.DutiesSupport clients on corporate income and franchise tax matters.Advise on sales and use tax, property tax, and payroll tax issues.Assist with personal income tax and audit defense.Engage in tax planning, structuring, and transactional analysis.Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on multi-state tax projects.Requirements3-5 years of dedicated State and Local Tax experience.Experience with corporate income, franchise, sales, and use tax matters.Exposure to controversy or litigation is a plus.Experience with tax planning and restructuring preferred.Strong research, writing, communication, and organizational skills.Ability to work collaboratively across offices and disciplines.EducationJD degree from an accredited law school.CertificationsAdmitted to practice in the state of Texas.SkillsExcellent written and verbal communication abilities.Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Attention to detail and good business judgment.Ability to work collaboratively and independently.Persuasive communication and management skills.BenefitsComprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.401(k) retirement plan.
