Storage Architect

Storage Architect | Media & Entertainment | LA or Northeast US | ContractAt 5V Video, we find the people who make entertainment a force for good in the world. We're working with a partner on a major media infrastructure project, and they need a senior Storage Architect with media and entertainment experience to shape it.
The role:You'll design and set the standards for enterprise storage and archive for content-heavy media workflows. That means working out how media is stored, moved, protected and found again across its whole life, from ingest to deep archive. It's a senior, hands-on design role: you'll write the architecture, set the standards, and bring stakeholders along with you.
What you'll work on:Enterprise storage platforms: file, object, block, nearline and archiveHierarchical Storage Management (HSM) and tiered storage designMedia asset lifecycle management, and moving content around (transport and mobility)Cloud and hybrid-cloud storage architectureData protection and disaster recoveryAutomation, orchestration, and monitoring of the infrastructureWorkflows for finding and restoring content (accessibility and retrieval)Modernising legacy media infrastructure
What you'll bring:10+ years of enterprise architecture experienceHands-on experience with enterprise storage and archive platformsExperience with media and content-centric workflows (studio, broadcast, streaming or post)Strong architecture documentation and design skillsExperience developing standards, patterns, and governance artifactsExcellent communication, facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills
Experience with platforms like StorNext, PowerScale/Isilon, NetApp, Spectra, LTO/LTFS, S3/Glacier, DIVA, or a MAM system is a strong plus.
