About the OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced Commercial Superintendent to oversee large-scale ground-up construction projects throughout the Raleigh, NC market. This is an excellent opportunity for a construction professional with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex commercial projects valued at $40M+ while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and schedule performance.
ResponsibilitiesLead all on-site construction activities from project start through completion.Manage day-to-day field operations for ground-up commercial projects valued at $40M+.Develop and maintain detailed project schedules to ensure timely project delivery.Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and project stakeholders.Enforce site safety programs and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.Conduct regular site meetings with project teams, subcontractors, and owners.Monitor workmanship and quality control to ensure compliance with project specifications.Identify and proactively resolve construction issues, conflicts, and schedule challenges.Collaborate closely with Project Managers to manage budgets, schedules, and project objectives.Review construction documents and coordinate execution of project plans.Maintain accurate daily reports, site logs, and progress documentation.Foster positive relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and local authorities.
RequirementsMinimum 5+ years of Commercial General Contractor experience as a Superintendent or Lead Superintendent.Proven experience delivering ground-up commercial construction projects valued at $40M or greater.Strong preference for experience on education, K-12, higher education, municipal, or other public-sector projects.Demonstrated history of stable career progression and strong tenure with previous employers.Thorough understanding of construction means and methods, scheduling, and site logistics.Knowledge of building codes, inspections, and safety regulations.Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.Experience managing multiple subcontractors and coordinating complex project schedules.Proficiency with construction management software and project documentation tools.Valid driver's license and ability to work on-site full-time.
