Job description

Key Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons and other healthcare professionals during procedures by preparing and maintaining the sterile field.
- Prepare surgical instruments and equipment, checking cleanliness and functionality according to established protocols.
- Handle supplies and instruments in accordance with infection prevention and sterilization guidelines.
- Help transport patients to and from the operating room while supporting their safety and comfort.
- Track inventory and help ensure adequate supplies are available for procedures.
- Document surgical activities and patient care accurately during operations.
- Work closely with nursing staff and surgical teams to anticipate procedural needs.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree in Surgical Technology from an accredited institution.
- One to three years of surgical technologist experience preferred.
- Knowledge of surgical terminology, techniques, and assistance across various procedures.
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential preferred.
- Experience with sterilization procedures and surgical instrument handling.
- Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and basic computer skills.
