Job description
Objectwin Technology is hiring two Surgical Technologist II professionals for a three-month contract assignment at Texas Children’s Hospital, West Campus in Katy, Texas (77094). The role supports pediatric surgical teams by preparing operating rooms, anticipating procedural needs, maintaining accurate counts, and assisting with specimen care.

- Schedule: Day shift; one 8-hour shift, 6:45 a.m.–3:15 p.m. CST, and one 10-hour shift, 6:45 a.m.–5:15 p.m. CST

Responsibilities
- Prepare the operating room for each procedure based on the patient’s age, needs, and planned surgery.
- Apply knowledge of surgical pathology and patient allergies, including awareness of groups at higher risk for latex allergy.
- Prepare and organize procedure-specific equipment, implants, prostheses, instruments, and medications.
- Anticipate the surgeon’s needs and make supplies available efficiently, using preference cards and consulting the circulating nurse when needed.
- Maintain accurate counts of sponges, needles, and instruments according to established policies and procedures.
- Assist with the care and labeling of surgical specimens.
- Attend in-services and continuing education activities to maintain professional development.
