About the role
Distinct | North America is seeking a Tax Manager for an established independent mid-market CPA firm in Frisco, TX, with three offices across Texas. The role offers the opportunity to build toward Partner and understand what the firm values and what that progression could require.
You will remain close to technical work while managing client relationships, working with the leadership team, supporting planning and advisory work, and learning more about how the wider practice operates.
Responsibilities
- Review complex individual and business tax work.
- Lead client relationships and serve as a trusted point of contact throughout the year.
- Support tax planning and advisory engagements alongside senior leadership.
- Coach and develop junior accountants, supporting their technical and professional growth.
- Contribute to discussions about client service, team development, and the firm’s continued growth.
- Build broader leadership and commercial experience relevant to a longer-term Partner goal.
Requirements
- At least five years of public accounting tax experience.
- Strong technical skills.
